Understand Codex and Claude usage in RepoScape

Token activity and plan allowance answer different questions.

Choose a provider first

The header keeps separate Codex and Claude summaries. Open Usage Details or project Details and choose the provider you want to inspect. Total and Today are local token analytics; the weekly balance and reset time come from that provider’s available account reading.

A missing or expired allowance reading is not zero usage. RepoScape should not invent a new balance or reset date from token totals.

Use calendar activity for comparisons

Calendar weeks run Monday through Sunday in your Mac’s time zone. The current week is compared with the same elapsed point in the previous week. Project calendar usage supports date selection and presets; hover over or click a chart bar to see the exact token count.

Lifetime, Today, and the current overview stay current even while you explore another date range. Token totals include recorded input and output, with cached input counted once.

Use allowance cycles for plan limits

Your account’s reset cycle can begin on a different day from the calendar week. Review allowance history separately from calendar token activity. Token share does not equal allowance share: different models and account rules can consume allowance differently.

Codex project allowance contributions are estimates, not provider-measured project charges. Claude’s account balance is not presented as a measured project charge.

Read the pace estimate

At current pace uses allowance already consumed and elapsed scheduled working hours to estimate how long the balance will last. The default schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM; configure your work schedule using the pace settings.

If the estimated balance lasts beyond the reset, the app says it lasts until reset. Zero usage has no finite exhaustion time. This is a forecast based on observed usage, not a guarantee of future availability.

Understand the dollar estimate

Codex’s Plan Estimate values project token usage using the current plan allowance rate. It is an estimate of plan value—not an API bill, an actual charge, or the amount payable for that project.

Team project totals depend on usage reported by team members’ Macs. Each member’s reported percentage follows their own allowance reading, rather than another teammate’s reset date.
